Smash Burger Pancake Breakfast Sandwich
Ingredients
- 4 3.2 oz. Omaha Steaks Smash Burgers cook from frozen
- 4 pancakes
- Maple syrup
- 4 slices bacon
- 2 eggs
- 4 slices American cheese
- 1/2 tablespoon butter
- Salt
- Pepper
- Hot sauce or sriracha, optional
Instructions
- Place bacon slices in a cold skillet over medium heat. Cook until crispy, flipping occasionally, then set aside on a paper towel until assembly.
- Cook pancakes according to package directions.
- Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high and place frozen Omaha Steaks Smash Burgers directly in skillet. Cook 3 minutes, flip, and cook an additional 2 minutes, or until a crispy crust forms and burgers are cooked through.
- During the last minute of cooking, top each burger with a slice of American cheese and cover the skillet to melt the cheese. Stack two patties to make a double.

- Kosher salt
- 8 Omaha Steaks Brioche Hamburger Buns, toasted
- 16 gruyere cheese slices, semi-melted

- 4 medium yellow onions thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 10.5 oz can beef consommé
- 2 teaspoons Omaha Steaks Private Reserve Seasoning

- Add butter to cast-iron pan over medium-high heat and add onions once melted. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cooked down and caramelized.
- Add thyme, beef consommé, and seasoning; cook down until liquid has almost evaporated, then set aside.

- Lightly oil a cast-iron, stainless steel, or carbon steel pan or a griddle surface with oil and heat as close to 500 degrees Fahrenheit as possible.
