Omaha Steaks Supports Wounded Warriors Family Support

The Block
As Memorial Day approaches, our thoughts turn to military veterans and their families – those who have bravely served and selflessly sacrificed to protect our freedoms. Over the years, Omaha Steaks and the Simon Family have proudly championed programs that support our military and their families.

It’s a tradition of giving back that has spanned all five generations of the company’s 101-year history.

From donations of Omaha Steaks for deployed troop cookouts and welcome home picnics, to financial support for our disabled veterans, we loved to be involved in heart-warming endeavors that benefit our military community.

That is why we are so excited that Omaha Steaks became a sponsor of this year’s Wounded Warriors Family Support (WWFS) High Five Tour to benefit disabled military veterans and their families.

Wounded Warriors Family Support is an nonprofit whose mission it is to provide support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat. The organization is operated by combat veterans for combat veterans and is rated a four-star nonprofit by Charity Navigator.

For the past nine years, the Wounded Warrior Family Support team has embarked on a High Five Tour, driving a decorated red, white and blue Ford F-150 Raptor across the country. This is to increase awareness and get support for our military veterans and their families.

This year WWFS High Five Tour hit the road in April, with a mobility-equipped 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor, making stops at military events, schools, Ford dealerships and Omaha Steaks stores.

How Can You Help the High Five Tour?

The public is invited to show their support for our military families by visiting an event stop and signing the tour vehicle with a message to our country’s veterans and their families.

The tour will host stops at hundreds of locations, including 45 Omaha Steaks store locations, where we will donate 10% of all the sales generated at each store event to the WWFS efforts. It’s our way of showing support for the military and their families, while giving each community the opportunity to do the same.

The High Five Tour ends on November 11, 2018 in New York, where a deserving veteran and his/her family will be chosen to receive the specially modified, 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor.

At Omaha Steaks, we are proud to honor military and support combat-wounded veterans and their families. Please join us at a store event near you and show your support of the Wounded Warrior Family Support and their mission.
