Mother’s Day is right around the corner and I’ve already started planning something special for my mom. I’ve always loved to cook dinner for her and make a special dessert, that way she’s free to kick back and relax that evening. I usually ask her ahead of time what she would like to eat, but this year I decided I’m going to surprise her.
Both of my parents love steak but they don’t eat it very often. Well, I should say they don’t often cook it at home. So my plan is to grill up some gorgeous Omaha Steaks Whiskey Marinated Top Sirloin. Since the sirloins are already in a delicious marinade, all that’s left to do is get them on the grill. Green beans are a favorite vegetable in our family so I made them extra special by cooking them in a decadent brown butter and lemon sauce and topping them with slivered almonds. A very simple side, but full of amazing fresh flavors.
Serve the sirloins and green beans with loaded baked potatoes and warm rolls and you’ve got a special meal that any mother would love!
