Omaha Steaks has a long history of supporting both active-duty service members and veterans of our military and their families. We’re committed to giving back to the patriots who served our country in a variety of ways, including supporting military-focused programs, like the SEAL Family Foundation and Wounded Warriors Family Support High-Five Tour, and shipping meals overseas to military members during the holidays.
One of the easiest and most convenient ways to show your appreciation and thank a veteran or an active-duty service member is by sending a gift card. An Omaha Steaks gift card gives your recipient the freedom and flexibility to order their favorite food themselves if they’re stateside or have it sent to their family back home if they’re internationally deployed. Our gift cards are available in a wide variety of denominations, ranging from $5 to $500, and can be used to shop online, by phone, or in-store at any Omaha Steaks retail location.

Ways to Honor Military Veterans
Omaha Steaks salutes our military veterans and their families for the sacrifices they have made to protect our freedom through military program support, donations of food and time, and much more every day – and especially on Memorial Day.
Here are some more ways to honor our living veterans and pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
1. Volunteer to place flags on military graves
Honor fallen military members by placing American flags on their final resting place to acknowledge all they sacrificed to keep us safe and free. This is a simple way to thank these brave patriots and a thoughtful tradition to perform with your family for years to come. Contact your local American Legion or VFW organization to volunteer your time during military holidays and throughout the year.
2. Reach out to a military family in your community
It’s important to remember that service members are not the only ones making a brave sacrifice – their families are too. Embrace the opportunity to extend a hand in friendship to a local military family. Whether you host them for a home-cooked dinner, send them a cooler of Omaha Steaks, invite them out to a restaurant, or simply spend time together, there are many ways to support military families and potentially forge lasting friendships.
3. Put it in writing
Sometimes the best gift you can give is kind words. AMillionThanks.org is a convenient and seamless way to send a letter of gratitude and appreciation to active-duty service members, their families, and/or our brave veterans.
4. Spend time with an older or wounded veteran
Our senior and wounded veterans have given us so much – now it’s our turn to give back. Show them how important they are by taking time out of your day to pay them a visit. To find someone to visit, you can contact nursing homes and veterans’ homes and hospitals.
