(Omaha, Neb., Feb. 14, 2022) – Todd and Betiana Simon have established a new endowment, the “Omaha Steaks visiting Artist Endowment,” to support Interlochen Center for the Arts and promote the artist-fellows awarded annually by Chicago-based United States Artists. The Omaha Steaks Visiting Artist Endowment will be used to build a program and fund for perpetuity the support of visiting artists at Interlochen Arts Camp and Interlochen Arts Academy.

Omaha Steaks and the Simon Family’s commitment to the visual and performing arts began in the 1940s with local Omaha cultural institutions. It has grown to include over 170 cultural arts, civic and health-related organizations – locally, nationally, and internationally. “My family understood that a vibrant arts culture was crucial to make a place like Omaha into a world-class city that attracts world-class talent,” said fifth-generation family owner and CEO Todd Simon. “Our goal with this endowment is to provide students the opportunity to engage with creative and artistic programs and pass down a passion for the arts to the next generation. We feel honored to support and help build local artist communities across the country.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with United States Artists and grateful to Omaha Steaks and Todd and Betiana Simon. The United States Artists Fellows will bring specialized expertise, new voices, and innovative methods to our students and who will depart as ambassadors for Interlochen. It will also be an important opportunity to further build our community of artists on our campus and beyond,” said Trey Devey, President of Interlochen Center for the Arts.
