Steaks for Good, the Omaha Steaks fundraising program, will again underwrite the hourly prizes for the second annual Omaha Gives! 24-hour online fundraising campaign which begins on May 20.

Omaha Gives! is an online charitable day of giving, based on successful giving day programs hosted across the country. Organized by the Omaha Community Foundation, the goal is to promote and grow local philanthropy in the Omaha area by inspiring the community to come together to contribute as many charitable dollars as possible, supporting the work of nearly 600 local nonprofit organizations. The number of nonprofits participating more than doubled last year up nearly 80 percent over 2013.

Last year, more than 18,000 people donated through Omaha Gives!, raising more than $6 million dollars for non-profits in the Omaha area. Omaha Steaks was honored to support Omaha Gives! as the hourly prize sponsor in 2013 and 2014, adding an additional $1,000 to one randomly selected organization every hour for a total of $24,000. Organizations like Project Harmony, Inclusive Communities, Omaha Creative Institute, Film Streams, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts and many others all participated.

"Omaha Steaks is proud to support a number of cultural arts, education and health and human service organizations in our hometown and across the country," said Todd Simon, Senior Vice President of Omaha Steaks. "These organizations greatly enhance our lives and we are honored to support the Omaha community through Omaha Gives and organizations both locally and nationally through our Steaks for Good program."
