OMAHA, Nebraska – APRIL 6, 2026 – The ninth episode of “Brain of Command,” co-hosted by Nate Rempe, President and CEO of Omaha Steaks, and Robert Reiss, CEO of The CEO Forum Group, is now available for streaming. The podcast centers on the “Magic 11” behavioral hacks that can help leaders transform into effective CEOs, no matter where they start on the organizational chart today. Through monthly episodes, Rempe and Reiss will talk with other industry-leading CEOs, breaking down what it takes to command a room, a career, and maybe even a company.

The ninth “Brain of Command” episode features Andrew Robertson, Chairman of BBDO Worldwide, exploring hack #9 of the Magic 11 hacks: be just funny enough.

“[Humor] is a real time feedback instrument. Arguably maybe the only communication tool that immediately tells you how well you are connecting,” says Rempe. “It allows people to open up a little bit; it is that opening up that creates the opportunity to influence.”

"The one thing that definitely works is using some humor earlier on to make everybody feel good and relax, and then you can become really quite serious about whatever it is you are trying to do. Usually, you are trying to overcome resistance or fear, and making people feel good and making them smile and even laugh is the most disarming thing that there is,” says Robertson. "The world is becoming more and more miserable...so if you really want a purpose in life, how about making people smile because that’s what we need more than anything.”
