(Omaha, Neb., June 8, 2022) – With great pride, Omaha Steaks recently announced the recipients of this year’s scholarship awards. The scholarship program has been in place more than ten years and is designed to provide assistance to employees’ children who plan to pursue post-secondary education in either a college or vocational education setting.

The following students, all members of the Omaha Steaks Family, have been selected to receive scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year:

Maxwell Henderson, son of Scott Henderson and Kristi Watson of Plattsmouth, Neb.  Maxwell, a graduate of Bellevue East High School in Bellevue, Neb., will attend Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz., where his field of study will be forensic science.

Dominick Quintana, son of Karen Rhone of Omaha, Neb.  Dominick, a graduate of Elkhorn North High School in Elkhorn, Neb., will attend the University of Nebraska Omaha in Omaha, Neb., where his field of study will be economics.

Alejandro Torres-Gutierrez, son of Martha Gutierrez-Centeno of Omaha, Neb.  Alejandro, a graduate of Gross Catholic High School in Omaha, Neb., will attend the University of Nebraska Omaha in Omaha, Neb., where his field of study will be architectural engineering.

Nathan Blizzard, son of Walter and Celia Blizzard of Omaha, Neb.  Nathan, a graduate of Fort Calhoun High School in Fort Calhoun, Neb., will attend Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb., where his field of study will be arts and humanities.

Niamh Corrigan, daughter of John and Colleen Corrigan of Omaha, Neb.  Niamh, a graduate of Marian High School in Omaha, Neb., will attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo., where her field of study will be history.

Bernard Rempe, son of Shelley and Jerry Rempe of Omaha, Neb.  Bernard, a graduate of Mount Michael Benedictine High School in Elkhorn, Neb., will attend Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., where his field of study will be biology.

The six scholarship award recipients were selected for their academic accomplishments, leadership, community involvement, and participation in school activities. “We sincerely congratulate this year’s scholarship recipients and their families,” said Omaha Steaks Chairman & CEO Todd Simon, “and are proud to have them representing Omaha Steaks.”
