What: Omaha Steaks this week is donating 5,700 portions of protein, including steaks, pork chops, and burgers as well as 2,000 portions of non-perishable protein to Mercy Chefs’ mobile kitchens and professional chefs who will provide hot meals to victims, volunteers, and first responders impacted by Hurricane Ian in Florida. Shelf-stable beef jerky and beef sticks will be donated to meet the needs of volunteers.

Mercy Chefs will use Next Level Church, 11081 Gateway Blvd, Fort Myers, Florida as their operations base. The location will serve as a central hub for meals to be served to victims, volunteers, and first responders.

When: On Thursday, Oct. 6, at 10:00 a.m. the Omaha Steaks warehouse will ready the donation of pallets of steaks and other proteins to be delivered to Mercy Chefs in hard-hit Fort Myer, FL. Todd Simon, Omaha Steaks fifth-generation family owner will be available for an interview.
