Omaha Steaks announced today the opening of a new flagship retail store in Houston, Texas.

The new flagship store is the first of its kind for Omaha Steaks to feature a full Cooking and Grilling Center for demonstrations, special events, cooking classes, and sampling. It's the company's largest retail location at more than 2,500 square feet, with expanded freezer space to carry nearly 2,000 additional boxes of product over other Omaha Steaks stores.

"We are excited to open our new Houston location and for all the new opportunities it provides our guests," said Senior Vice President and Family Owner, Todd Simon. "From learning the best grilling and cooking techniques, to seeing, smelling, and tasting our food, this store offers our guests an immersive culinary shopping experience."

The store will also feature an on-site culinary expert, who will work with the store and community to engage with local chefs, create weekly culinary classes, sampling events, and more.

As part of the grand opening celebration, Omaha Steaks is offering door buster savings of 50 percent off regular prices. In addition, guests will receive eight free Omaha Steaks Burgers with any purchase over $30; the first 500 guests will receive a free bag of Omaha Steaks Beef Jerky; and all guests can enter to win a $1,000 Omaha Steaks gift card. All grand opening promotions will run until December 4, 2016.

"We've always had a strong customer base in Houston, so it was an easy decision to expand our retail presence in this market," Simon added.

The new store replaces an existing location in the same Town & Country Village Shopping Center. Omaha Steaks now operates 71 stores in 26 states.
