(Omaha, Neb. November 5, 2020) – Omaha Steaks, one of the largest seasonal employers in Omaha, is seeking to hire more than 3,000 temporary workers this holiday season in order to meet increased customer demand.
The company began its holiday hiring last month and most of its openings (2,200 positions) are available in the work-at-home call center. Because these agents work remotely, Omaha Steaks is recruiting from Nebraska, Iowa, Texas, Florida, Nevada and South Dakota – areas where there is strong interest in the Omaha Steaks brand. The remaining openings will fill positions in a variety of areas, including the mailroom, logistics/office staff, maintenance, class A CDL semi-truck drivers, and its distribution center.
“We are ramping up our hiring because we fully expect, and are planning for, continued high consumer demand throughout the holiday season,” said Nate Rempe, President and Chief Operating Officer, Omaha Steaks. “We are proud to be able to offer these jobs with overall hiring slowing throughout the country during the pandemic, and we are honored to help our customers celebrate the season with holiday meals and gifts, whether they are gathering in-person or virtually.”
