Omaha Steaks Celebrates Hunger Action Month by Giving Back to Fight Hunger
Ten percent of retail sales from September 4-7 will benefit local food banks
OMAHA, Neb. -- In recognition of Hunger Action Month, Omaha Steaks is partnering with food banks to help fight hunger through a special in-store giving campaign. From September 4-7, five participating Omaha Steaks retail locations across the country will donate 10% of sales to local food banks serving their communities.
According to Feeding America, 14 million kids, which is 1 in 5, don’t have enough food to grow up strong, highlighting the continued need for community support.
"Giving back has always been part of who we are at Omaha Steaks," said Nate Rempe, President & CEO of Omaha Steaks. "Hunger Action Month is an opportunity to support the incredible organizations working every day to fight hunger in our communities. By simply shopping with Omaha Steaks, our customers can help make a meaningful difference for families in need."
The campaign will benefit food banks in the communities surrounding each participating retail location, helping provide meals and resources to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
Customers can support the effort by shopping at one of the five participating Omaha Steaks retail stores between September 4 and September 7. Ten percent of all in-store sales during the campaign will be donated to the local food bank partnered with each store.
