Ingredients

Bourbon Caramelized Onions:

  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 1 T. butter
  • 1 yellow onion halved and sliced thin
  • 1 T. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 shot of Bourbon

Instructions

  • Preheat a medium skillet to medium high. Add butter, olive oil, onions, brown sugar, and salt. Cook, stirring frequently until onions begin to brown and caramelize. Add Bourbon and continue to cook until most of the liquid has evaporated. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  • Season burgers with Omaha Steaks Seasoning or your favorite blend.
  • Grill, broil or pan-fry burgers until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  • Place cheddar cheese on top of burgers to melt.
  • Slice buns in half and toast on grill or broiler.
  • Place bacon and barbeque sauce on top of cheese.
  • Place Bourbon Caramelized Onions on the bottom of the bun then top with the burger. Place remaining half of the bun on top of the burger.
  • Serve and enjoy!
