Cowboy Butter
- 1 stick of unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
- 1 green onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- Zest of one lemon
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Western Burger
- 4 3.2 oz. Omaha Steaks Smash Burgers
- 2 burger buns
- 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese
- 4 thin slices of Cowboy Butter
- 2 strips of bacon, cooked according to instructions
- 1 Jalapeño, thinly sliced
- 4 onion rings, cooked according to instructions
- 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
Cowboy Butter
Bring the butter to room temperature.
In a small mixing bowl, combine unsalted butter, garlic cloves, parsley, onion, Dijon mustard, lemon zest, smoked paprika, sea salt, chili powder, black pepper, and crushed red pepper until well mixed.
Shape the butter into a log, wrap it in plastic wrap, and freeze it for 10 minutes to firm it back up
Western Burger
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Place the burgers on the grill.
After 3 minutes, flip and immediately top each patty with a slice of cowboy butter.
Cook for 2 more minutes, add cheese, and let it melt.
Remove from the grill and assemble: top each burger with thinly sliced jalapeños, onion rings, bacon, and barbecue sauce.
