Ingredients

Smash Burgers

Buffalo Sauce

  • 1 cup hot sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 stick cold unsalted butter

Blue Cheese Mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce

Instructions

Buffalo Sauce

  • In a small sauce pot, combine hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ground dry mustard, black pepper, and honey. Whisk until fully incorporated, then bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and whisk in the cold butter until it is fully melted and emulsified. Set the sauce aside until ready to use.

Blue Cheese Mayonnaise

  • In a medium bowl, combine blue cheese crumbles, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, black pepper, kosher salt, and hot sauce. Stir until well combined.
  • Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

Smash Burgers

  • Preheat the grill to 400 degrees Fahrenheit with direct heat.
  • Lightly season each side of the frozen burger patty with about 1/4 teaspoon of Omaha Steaks Salt and Pepper Seasoning.
  • Place the patties on the grill for about 3 minutes.
  • Flip the burgers and spoon about 1 tablespoon of Buffalo sauce over each patty. Cook for about 1 minute.
  • Top each burger with 1 slice of American cheese and cook for another minute, until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked through.
  • Spread 1 tablespoon of store-bought mayonnaise on each bun. Place the buns mayo-side down on the grill and toast until golden brown, about 30 to 45 seconds.
  • Stack 3 cheeseburger patties on the bottom bun. Add 1 tablespoon of blue cheese mayonnaise on the top patty, then place the top bun over everything.
  • Serve with a side of Buffalo sauce for dipping.
