Omaha Steaks Delmonico Steaks with Delmonico Potatoes
A steakhouse classic from way back in the day that's never tasted better. This authentic Delmonico recipe teaches you how to perfectly prepare a big, juicy ribeye and the namesake Delmonico potatoes.
  • 4 each Omaha Steaks Delmonico Steaks
  • 2 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 Tbsp Omaha Steaks Private Reserve steak rub
  • 1 Recipe Delmonico Potatoes
Delmonico Potatoes
  • 4 medium potatoes, unpeeled
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground mustard
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 lbs shredded aged cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup fine dried bread crumbs
  1. Thaw Omaha Steaks Delmonico Steaks overnight in the fridge or quick thaw by placing sealed steaks in a sink with water for about 15 minutes to 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Delmonico Potatoes using the recipe below.
  3. Preheat grill on high. Blot dry steaks with a clean paper towel then brush each side with cooking oil.
  4. Generously season both sides of the steaks with the Private Reserve Steak Rub.
  5. Reduce grill heat to medium and grill steaks to desired doneness. For a medium rare steak grill about 7-8 minutes on the first side and 5-6 minutes on the second side.
  6. Serve each steak with the Delmonico Potatoes.
Delmonico Potatoes
  1. Place potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and cook for 40 minutes or until tender. Drain and refrigerate for 1 hour
  2. Peel potatoes and coarsely shred. In a saucepan, heat the milk, cream, salt, mustard, and pepper over medium heat until bubbles form around side of pan. Stir in shredded potatoes.
  3. Place in a greased 6 x 9" baking dish. Sprinkle shredded aged cheddar cheese and bread crumbs over potatoes. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until cheese is browned on top.
