The Wood Plank:
Salmon fillets are frozen on a high-quality food-safe alderwood plank. You cook itstraight on this plank - just take it out of the freezer, unwrap and place on your grill or in your oven. As it gets hot, the plank begins to blacken, infusing the salmon fillets with the sweet, smoky flavor of alder. These planks are even presoaked before they're plated and frozen, so they won't cause fiery flare-ups while you cook.
Each beautifully colored, high-quality salmon fillet is prepared by hand for an excellent cooking and eating experience. They're marinated in a balanced blend of ginger, soy, garlic, sake, onion, salt, and pepper for a tasty, crave-able teriyaki flavor and then lightly seared for color and flavor. After they're ready, they're carefully placed and frozen on the wood plank.
