  • ½ c. white sugar
  • 2 T. water
  • ½ c. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 T. bourbon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

  • Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil stirring constantly until sugar begins to caramelize.

  • Preheat grill to medium high. Season steaks liberally with salt and pepper.
  • Place the steaks on the grill and cook until golden brown and slightly charred, 4 to 5 minutes. Turn the steaks over and continue to grill 3 to 5 minutes for medium-rare (an internal temperature of 135 degrees F), 5 to 7 minutes for medium (140 degrees F) or 8 to 10 minutes for medium-well (150 degrees F).
  • Brush steaks with glaze and sear, repeat on other side.
  • Remove steaks from grill. Let rest for 10 minutes and serve.
  • If desired serve with remaining glaze.
