One-Pan Steak Frites

Classic steak frites with fries or crispy mashed potatoes & garlic aioli sauce

Fries

  • Toss thawed steak pieces with 1T. rub.
  • Preheat a medium nonstick skillet to medium high. Add 1T. oil and ½ of the steak pieces. Sautee 3-4 minutes until steak pieces have browned and reached desired level of doneness. Remove from pan and repeat with remaining steak pieces. Remove steak pieces from pan and set aside.
  • Add 1T. oil and ½ package of fries to pan. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until fries are crispy. Remove fries from pan add 1T. oil and repeat with remaining fries.
  • Remove fries from pan and serve with steak pieces.

Mashed Potatoes:

  • Toss thawed steak pieces with 1T. rub.
  • Preheat a medium nonstick skillet to medium high. Add 1T. oil and ½ steak pieces. Sauté 3-4 minutes until steak pieces have browned and reached desired level of doneness. Remove steak pieces from pan and repeat with remaining steak pieces. Remove steak pieces from pan and set aside.
  • Add 2T oil and cooked mashed potatoes to the pan. Press potatoes to flatten to edges of pan. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Invert a plate over the top of your sauté pan. Flip pan over so the potatoes release to the plate. Top with steak pieces and serve.

Notes
